Bernardaud and Art Production Fund introduced a special edition plate conceived by the famed artist Jeff Koons during a reception at the newly renovated flagship Bernardaud boutique in New York. The Jeff Koons 10.5" dinner plate features an image chosen by the artist that combines the classicism of black and white photography with the functionality of an everyday object. The circular shape of the plate itself combined with the pose of the young bathers in the image recalls the shape of a peace sign. A donation is made by Art Production Fund for every plate purchased to support the Jeff Koon Family Institute which is a resource for the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children. This marks the second collaboration between Art Production Fund, a nonprofit organization dedicated to public art projects, and Bernardaud. The first project in 2009 produced the Rudolf Stingel plate. The Jeff Koons plate was made possible through the generous support of Sotheby's. The plate is available for purchase online at www.worksonwhatever.com and at Bernardaud boutiques in New York and Chicago.
